After 32 years, the FIFA World Cup is back in Germany. Football fans from all over the world are looking forward to exciting, high-scoring matches, the vibrant atmosphere in the stadiums, and the opportunity to connect with different cultures. Germany is well-prepared, will be a great host, and will welcome its guests with great warmth: Over three-quarters of Germans are convinced of this (76%). There is widespread agreement among the population: women and men, urban and rural residents, young and old \u2013 everyone is certain the games can begin. This was the result of a recent representative survey conducted by the BAT Leisure Research Institute, in which 1,000 people aged 14 and over across Germany were asked whether the World Cup motto, "A Time to Make Friends," is accurate.
\nWhen the World Cup kicks off in a few days, the world's eyes will be on Germany. The twelve host cities, in particular, will be in the spotlight as thousands of football fans flock first to the stadiums and then to the city centers. Hotels, restaurants, shops, and taxi companies are all prepared. Service and support have been practiced and tested for this eventuality for quite some time.
\nCritical voices regarding a security risk for foreign visitors find little support among the population. On the contrary: In both West (20%) and East Germany (14%), only a minority doubts hospitality and friendliness.<\/p>\n

About the BAT Leisure Research Institute<\/h3>\n
