The BAT Foundation for Future Issues will present the „Leisure Monitor 2026" before.

For over 45 years we, as a non-profit foundation, have dedicated ourselves to the leisure behaviour of German citizens and record our research findings in our annual leisure study. This year's study focusses on the following questions:

  • How do Germans spend their leisure time?
  • How have the most popular activities changed over the years?
  • What influence do gender or age have on leisure activities?
  • How much free time do German citizens actually have?
  • And what role do digital media, regenerative activities and social activities play in leisure time today?

Answers to these and other questions are provided by Professor Dr Ulrich Reinhardt, Scientific Director of the Foundation for Future Issues. The results are based on a representative survey of over 3,000 German citizens aged 18 and over, who were interviewed by GfK on our behalf in July of this year.

We look forward to your participation in our ONLINE PRESS CONFERENCE on Tuesday, August 25th, at 10:00 am.
